The original picture (1) on the left is the un-touched version of shiny mixed peppers.
In picture (2) below it, we have changed the colour of the red pepper to blue.
On the right in picture (3) we have added people leaping out of the peppers.
In order for this to be convincing, some subtle and complex reflections (including artificial shadows) had to be added to the peppers.
Without this, the artifice would not complete.
